Like many ideas, the changes of society and technology, turn those ideas into projects and succesful ventures. Captains Quarters Podcast was such an idea and we found, in 2020, that the internet was becoming a much more powerful tool to teach and to share and thus begins a new adventure.

We started our first show on Sept 19th 2020 and yes that was Talk Like A Pirate Day. The thought was what better day to set sail on a new adventure named Captains Quarters Podcast, with a pirate theme and pirates at the helm. Our first few months were experienments, trials, tribulations and a real education on becoming tech savvy. By the End of November we have found our online sealegs and its been an adventure every since.

The idea of the show has always been to be educational as well as entertaining but to always steer clear of the politics. The shows segments touch on a variety of subjects such as “This Week in
Nautical History” or “This Week in History”, both segments obviously self explanatory. We also have “Eight Bells” a weekly tribute to the passing of famous people society. We lighten the theme with “Joke of the Week, with mini Mayhem” or “Mail Call” or “Question of the Week” or “Quote of the Week”. We always are open to new segments and even listen to suggestions and comments during every show from our listeners who tune in weekly.

We have weekly guests in all walks of life such as: Historians, Tour Guides, Authors, Entertainers, Musicians, Magicians, Story Tellers, Tour Attraction representatives and even business that support our show. You never know who the next guest will be.

The show has now found its comfortable place on Monday evenings at 8pm. Our goal will always be to have fun, a few laughs, share our love of history and connect with Friends, Fans and Followers.
