The world has gone thru some tremendous changes for everyone in the last 4 years and those changes have hit many 
Festivals and Renfairs where it hurts. OCPF feels those issues as well. The constantly rising/fluctuating cost of everything: insurance, property, food, entertainment, equipment, advertising, printing, and incidentals has created obstacles that can mean the difference between the success or failure on our event.
The financial requirements to put on a full weekend event has become a huge challenge for this year in sponsorships & support. That being said, the crew of the St Augustine Swashbucklers has set a new course for Old City Pirate Fest 2024 and will be making adjustments to the event.
The event will be scaled back to a one day event called:
Old City Pirate Day - A Thieves Market -
This will be a family friendly FREE admission event which takes place Saturday Feb 3rd from 10am - 6pm, then an adult leaning evening of entertainment 6pm - 9:30pm.
There will be entertainment on the main stage. There will also be Pirate and Artist related vendor booth. "Authors Row", Authors of History, Pirate, and children's books. There will be "Blacksmith demos" and the Evening Social event will be filled with music, honorees, giveaways and yes even Pirate Court is being planned.
This will be a ONE DAY Social event of Camaraderie for ALL Crews, Pirates, and Reenactors. So Set your course for a piratical day, the 1st weekend in Feb.
